'GTA 5' Heists DLC Multiplayer
The 'GTA 5' Heists DLC release date is slated to coincide with next-gen PS4, Xbox One, PC launch. Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games has consistently delivered a new "GTA 5" DLC every month. We received "I'm Not A Hipster" in June, "Independence Day" in July, and "Flight School" in August. We do not have concrete evidence as to what "GTA 5" has in store for September, but we expect the "GTA 5" 1.17 Update to arrive Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Tuesday has long been the preferred day of the week for DLC releases. According to reliable tipster and YouTuber DomisLive, a big "GTA 5" DLC update on Sept. 23 is highly likely due to Rockstar's maintenance announcement. "GTA 5" game servers and its Social Club will be down for leaderboard maintenance on Sept. 18 and 19 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET.

Reports claim that the scheduled server maintenance on Thursday or Friday will redesign the leaderboard just ahead of an upcoming DLC, most likely the highly-anticipated "GTA 5" Heists Update. Players have been waiting for the Heist DLC for months and its delays have also raised speculation that the new Heists DLC will competely revamp the way we play GTA Online.

The timing of the new "GTA 5" Heists DLC update is also interesting as Sept. 17 marks the one-year anniversary of "GTA 5." What better time than now to give loyal "GTA 5" fans a big suprise? That said, it has been long believed that the arrival of the important Heist DLC will coincide with the next-gen "GTA 5" title for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. "GTA 5" for PS4 and Xbox One arrives Nov. 18.
