Jennifer Lopez, who until recently refused to talk about her relationship with beau Casper Smart in public, seems to be having no problem with sharing details about her past relationships nowadays. During a recent interview with People and Entertainment Weekly’s editorial director, the 46-year-old singer revealed a lot about her failed marriage to salsa superstar, Marc Anthony.

“It was devastating and awful,” she said about filing for divorce. “I think both Marc and I thought at the time we would be together for the next 40 years until we died.” Even though JLo confessed that the breakup was “the biggest disappointment” of her life, she admitted “it was the right thing” to do.

“I felt like at that time I had lost my way a little bit, of who I was in trying to make the marriage [work],” she told the publication. “I had been married before and I didn’t want this to be a failure…I just put all my heart and soul into that and forgot who I was as an individual a little bit.”

The mother of two also disclosed information about another one of her former partners, Ben Affleck, with whom she was recently linked after he split with ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. “Sometimes I feel like what you think people are and how you see them when you love them is different than when they reveal later,” the “Shades of Blue” star said of Affleck.

The “American Idol” judge is currently enjoying life next to her kids, Emme and Max, and boyfriend Casper Smart, who she has been dating since 2013 but claims there are no wedding bells ringing in the horizon…yet. “No - no wedding. There’s no wedding,” the Boricua singer told the magazine when she was asked about her wedding plans with the 28-year-old dancer.
