A month after Joan Sebastian passed away for losing his 16-year battle to bone cancer on July 13, Mexican artists and colleagues unite for a beneficial tribute concert honoring the late iconic singer and composer.

The concert called "¡Viva por siempre Joan Sebastián!" will take place on August 12 in Acapulco, Mexico. All proceeds of the show ---with tickets ranging from $19 to $155--- will be donated to different centers that help people with cancer.

Over 30 artists have already confirmed their participation, including his sons José Manuel and Julián Figueroa. Yuri, Aracély Arámbula, Larry Hernández, Maribel Guardia, Ana Bárbara, Banda El Limón, Itatí Cantoral, Lucía Méndez, Marco Antonio Solís and Margarita, la Diosa de la Cumbia are among the artists who will also pay tribute to El Rey del Jaripeo. Thalia, Vicente Fernandez, Alejandro Fernandez and Enrique Iglesias are yet to confirm their appearance.

The three hour tribute concert will also count with the participation of renowned telenovela actors. "We're going to do something special with the novela theme songs that were composed by Joan Sebastian," the event's producer Alex Ruiz said, according to People en Español.

"¡Viva por siempre Joan Sebastián!" will be transmitted on television on August 29 via Bandamax (check local listings).
