Mexican singer Larry Hernández was arrested on September 25 at the Ontario International Airport in California after being accused of kidnapping, aggression and extortion by a promoter.

According to various sources, such promoter turned to the police after Hernández took him against his will, held him hostage, and beat him up because he didn’t pay the agreed amount after a performance.

The promoter’s identity was revealed on Sunday during an exclusive interview with Telemundo’s “Al Rojo Vivo.” José Andrade, the victim, shared explicit details about what happened on August 16 in Newberry, South Carolina. According to Andrade, Hernández and his entourage took him to a hotel in South Carolina where he was mistreated and threaten.

During the interview, Andrade stated he feared for his life. According to the accuser, Larry mentioned he was going to take his life more than once. He continued by saying that his reason behind his allegations is justice, he wants to set an example for those who find themselves in the same situation in the future, “if someone goes through the same situation, well, they don’t remain quiet.”

When the reporter asked if he would like to be present at court when Larry makes it to Newberry, he replied: “Yes…to see what his words would be when I’m present, knowing what he did.”

New police reports exposed that there are recordings of the attack, which will be presented on the day of the trial. Larry Hernández is still in California but will be extradited to South Carolina in a few days to continue with the case.
