The long gone Hannah Montana star performed at the Arena Monterrey in front of 14,000 excited fans. Everyone of course expected to see the singer do something crazy so when the singer put on a prosthetic butt with a silver thong to do her infamous twerking number, fans thought that was it. Little did they know Miley was then going to have her dancers (also wearing prosthetic butts) slap her with Mexican flags. Needless to say the congress of the state of Nuevo León is far from pleased and wants her, or whoever is responsible, prosecuted.
Disrespecting a Mexican national symbol is a criminal offense which could have a $1,200 fine with a 36 hour jail sentence. “In the video, the singer is seen leaning down while one of her backup dancers is slapping her glutes with a Mexican flag, which, under any circumstances, is disrespect to the Patriotic Emblem,” said a Nuevo León official. “The SEGOB will initiate the corresponding process to sanction those responsible, through the company that organized the concert.”
As TMZ reminds us, this is not the first time a singer disrespects the Mexican flag, “X Factor” judge Paulina Rubio once posed nude, wrapped around the national flag and got a $4k fine.
