The biggest night in telenovelas is here with Premios TVyNovelas 2017, the award that honors the Televisa genre. This year the ceremony will be hosted by Maite Perroni and Cristián de la Fuente live from México City. Confirmed musical guest appearances are Juanes, CNCO, Joey Montana, Cristian Castro, José Manuel Figueroa and Unete A La Fiesta. Univision has not announced when they plan to air the award show stateside, but the ceremony will air on Televisa's Las Estrellas starting at 5:30pm local time. Live streaming of the event will be through the Las Estrellas app, but you will need an IP from México to watch.

The production led by Silvia Navarro, "La Candidata," topped the list with 20 nods, including Best Telenovela, Best Actress, Best Direction and Best Cast. "El Hotel De Los Secretos" was second with 17 nominations, "Sin Rastro De Ti" with 13, "Tres Veces Ana" with 11 and "Vino El Amor" and "Corazón Que Miente" with 9 a piece. Other telenovelas nominated were: "Un Camino Hacia El Destino," "Las Amazonas," "Sueño De Amor," "Mujeres De Negro," "Yago," "Simplemente María" and "Despertar Contigo."

The top award of the night is Best Telenovela where the following productions scored a nod: El Hotel De Los Secretos, La Candidata, Sin Rastro De Ti, Vino El Amor, Corazón Que Miente and Un Camino Hacia El Destino. This year the magazine included new acting categories for the series Televisa is producing. For Best Series the following shows are nominated: "Blue Demon," "Login," "Mujeres De Negro" and "Yago."

In the Best Actor In A Series the following men are vying for the prize: Diego Olivera for "Mujeres de Negro," Iván Sánchez for "Yago," Tenoch Huerta for "Blue Demon" and Alan Alarcón for "Login." In the Best Actress In A Series category these are the ladies hoping for the award: Gabriela de la Garza for "Yago," Ana Brenda Contreras for "Blue Demon," Laura Montijano for "Login" and Mayrín Villanueva for "Mujeres De Negro."
