Relationships on “Pretty Little Liars” have their fair share of ups and downs, but recently it seems like all the Liars are having serious issues with their significant other. Obviously Ezra and Aria’s relationship has blown up, Hanna and Caleb crumbled under the pressure of a long distance relationship, Spencer and Toby have had a hard time connecting mainly due to her pill addiction, and now Paige and Emily have fallen victim to the “Pretty Little Liars” curse and their relationship may be in jeopardy.
While we always think that Emily is way too hard on Paige, we do believe that this time she may have crossed the ultimate trust line. In episode 23, “Unbridled” Hanna will admit her latest revelations that came, with the help of Detective Holbrook. Hanna will finally tell Emily that it was Paige who told the police that Alison was still alive. Fans watched as Paige promised her girlfriend that she wouldn’t tell the police, only to later “anonymously” tip them off not only about her still being alive, but even provided them with a vital clue, the address of “A.D. Incorporated,” which if you ask us is a horrible cover name. Even though we can’t totally fault Paige or attempting to protect her girlfriend, she did break her trust and go behind her back, making herself look guilty. In typical Emily fashion she is not pleased with Paige to say the least, but unlike past fights that have been resolved due to Paige’s ability to compromise and apologize, this time she is sticking to her convictions, and Emily will not be quick to forgive her longtime girlfriend.
In an exclusive sneak peek video of episode 23 “Unbridled” the tensions are high between Paige and Emily when they unknowingly meet up in the bathroom before school starts. The introductions are awkward, as Spencer makes a quick exit allowing both Paige and Emily to speak freely about their latest hiccup. Paige attempts to make an excuse for her absence, claiming that her family had kept her busy over the weekend, however Emily is not buying it. She immediately accuses her girlfriend of breaking her trust yelling, "You told the police! You promised me you wouldn't, and then you went ahead and told them." Paige doesn’t even bother denying the accusation, as they both know it is true, however she is not clamoring for forgiveness, she explains her reasons for telling the police, admitting, “I did it to protect you." Emily, unsatisfied with Paige’s tender response is once again back worrying about Alison.
