On May 24, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid went head to head in the Champions League final at Estadio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal. Real Madrid had history on their side and could become the fist team to win the crown 10 times and Atlético is the Spanish champions.

These teams were very closely matched. The finish of the game was a dramatic one, with Real Madrid coming out on top beating Atlético 4-1. Hala Madrid!

Atlético scored first and went 1-0 with a goal from Godin, he scored the goal that led Atlético to victory last weekend, taking advantage of where Iker Casillas was positioned. As everyone thought that Atlético had the championship in the bag, Sergio Ramos’ header ties the game and took it into extra time.

Gareth Bale’s header put real Madrid up 2-1 with 10 minutes left to play. That goal put Real Madrid a step closer to the crown. Then Marcelo scored and they went up 3-1. And to top it all off, Cristiano Ronaldo converted a penalty and they went up 4-1.
