The Tony Awards 2014 nominations were announced this morning. Once again, Broadway’s biggest names will have a night to highlight the extraordinary work they do eight shows a week, putting their vocal, physical and acting skills to the service of the audience and above all, doing it live. Some big names like Bryan Cranston, Neil Patrick Harris and Audra McDonald scored nominations, but so did Isabel Toledo, Nick Cordero and Danny Burstein, the only Latinos nominated.

Toledo was nominated for her work as costume designer in the musical “After Midnight,” which also scored six more nominations, including Best Musical. Isabel Toledo is a Cuban born, American designer who became the creative director of Anne Klein in 2006. Although she stepped down the next year, she continued to make the world a prettier place with her gorgeous designs. One of her most notable works was the lemongrass-yellow Swiss wool guipure lace dress and overcoat she designed for Michelle Obama to wear at her husband’s inauguration.

“[It’s] a hopeful color that is so to the core of the beginning of things. I needed to do this,” she says. “I really wanted to make her glow. I wanted to make her look luminous. I felt it was my duty,” Toledo told WWD. As for Nick Cordero, this Canadian native is up for best performance by an actor in a featured role in a musical for his work as a gangster-turned-playwright in Bullets Over Broadway, which is up for five more awards. Cordero grew up in a multi-cultural household that led him to the theater at an early age. He began singing and performing professionally at the age of 15. He studied acting at Ryerson University in Toronto, but he eventually left it to pursue his musical career with his band LOVEMETHOD. After a couple studio albums, a distribution deal and several songs featured in TV shows, Nick decided to go back to acting when his band broke up.

Danny Burstein is a Latino who’s no stranger to being nominated for major awards in Theatre. This half Jewish, half Costa Rican actor grew up in New York City and is known for his work in theater, film and television. He was nominated for a 2013 Tony Award and Outer Critics Circle Award for his performance in the revival of Clifford Odets' “Golden Boy” on Broadway and he won the 2012 Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical. He was also nominated for an Astaire Award and a Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his performance in the Broadway revival of “Follies.”

Burstein won the 2008 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical and was nominated for the Drama Desk Award and Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his work in “South Pacific,” and was nominated for the 2006 Ovation Award and the Tony Award for his performance in “The Drowsy Chaperone.” This year, he joins Cordero in the best performance by an actor in a musical category, where he was nominated for his work in “Cabaret.”

The Tonys will be handed out June 8 at New York's Radio City Music Hall. The event will air live on CBS. Don't miss the full list of all the nominees below!
