The inaugural season of “Jane the Virgin” continues tonight and following last week’s shocking episode “Chapter 5,” Jane is working furiously to discover the truth and pick up the pieces with the three vital men in her life, her father, her fiancé, and the father of her child. Episode 5 revealed that while everyone wants a relationship with Jane, all she really wants is honesty and that’s not just from the men in her life. “Chapter 5” features multiple arguments, the first one between mother and daughter, Jane feels deeply betrayed by Xo due to her mother lying about the identity and existence of Jane’s father, Rogelio. The next argument was between father and daughter, whose first meeting went less than planned. However in the end the family is pleasantly reunited pushed together by the ensuing drama of Jane’s pregnancy, marriage and the investigation for the murder of Zaz.
Raf admits to Jane that he and Petra are getting a divorce, however he still wants to raise the baby. Following the pain Jane has felt growing up as a child without both of her parents she seriously refutes his proposal to take care of the baby alone, and now Jane must reconsider her plans, obviously she consults her future husband Michael. In addition to the latest divorce drama, Michael and Jane finally have a genuine heart to heart about his past, his brother Billy and even his fears for the future, but at the end of it, the pair decides they can raise the baby with the help of Raf.
Tonight on the all-new episode of “Jane the Virgin” titled “Chapter Six” the action and issues raised will continue to be investigated. According to the synopsis, Jane was genuine about forgiving her father following their initial disaster meeting, as she continues to bond with him. However Jane’s relationship with Rogelio hits a snag when Jane meets his stepdaughters, who in typical telenovela form “aren’t very nice to her.” With their relationship on a good track, Rogelio attempts to convince Xo to hire his band for Jane’s upcoming nuptials. Despite Rogelio and Xo talking wedding plans, the relationship between the bride and groom is now on a different path considering the recent decision that they will not only be newlyweds but new parents. The synopsis reveals “Jane wrestles with how to proceed in her relationship with Michael.”
Fans can expect that this speed bump in their relationship can be directly related to the recent arrest of Raf, the synopsis states that Petra gets her husband arrested, most likely for the murder of Zaz. However with Michael and of course Jane on the case, Petra’s secrets will most certainly be revealed. Oh and lets not forget that in the midst of Jane attempting to figure out her life, she must also figure out her career. In “Chapter 6” Jane interviews at a Catholic High School for a teaching position however not all goes as planned when she meets some of her students, who are less than impressed by her pregnant virgin status.
