For the first time since 2019, the San Francisco 49ers won the NFC West after a 21-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football, securing their ticket to this year’s postseason.
In his second career start, seventh-round pick rookie quarterback Brock Purdy helped lead the 49ers to another win. He threw for 217 yards and two touchdown passes to tight end George Kittle. Running back Christian McCaffrey had 108 yards on the ground and a touchdown of his own. The San Francisco defense continued to dominate, allowing under 300 total yards of offense and one touchdown.

The 49ers became the second team in the NFL to secure a playoff spot after the Philadelphia Eagles clinched a playoff berth in their win against the New York Giants last week. San Francisco sits as the third seed in the NFC.
