With Fourth of July right around the corner, most people are getting ready to enjoy a well-deserved day off filled with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, family reunions, etc.

Many are also planning on enjoying a relaxing day and go to the beach, theme park, or perhaps go shopping to enjoy all the amazing sales.

But one thing is for sure, this day is perfect to sit back, chill and watch some movies.

On Independence Day we celebrate the men and women who fought for our country, who freed us from foreign powers and allowed us to become the country we are today. It s a time to praise the nation's heritage, laws, history, society and people.

Independence day celebrations are often accompanied by patriotic songs such as the national anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner," "God Bless America," "America the Beautiful," "My Country, 'Tis of Thee," "This Land Is Your Land" and even poems.

So why not add films to the mix? There are so many great movies perfect to watch on the Fourth of July. Unfortunately, the weekend will not last forever, so instead of naming all of the films that are perfect to watch on this patriotic day, we have rounded up five.

These movies are about feeling more American than ever and acknowledging that to achieve great things (like this country), one must never give up.
