“America’s Got Talent” just crowned its newest winner, Kodi Lee. The autistic savant bested Detroit Youth Choir, comedian Ryan Niemiller and more.

Throughout the entire season, host Terry Crews enumerated the prices that the winner at the end of Season 14 would receive. Not only will the top contestant bring home $1 million, but he will also headline a series of shows in Las Vegas.

It has now been revealed, however, that only half of the prices are accurate. Lee will be performing in Las Vegas in November but will not bring home $1 million.

Multiple publications have claimed that the grand prize totaling $1 million is payable in financial annuity for the next 40 years. But the winner also has the option to receive the present cash value of the annuity.

If Lee will choose the first option, he will receive $25,000 every year for the next 40 years. But this figure will also be much less after taxes are incorporated. If Lee opts for the second option, he will most likely receive between $150,000 and $200,000. This figure is estimated at $300,000 before taxes.

But one of the best things about winning “America’s Got Talent” is the title. Lee will forever be known as the first autistic and blind singer and musician to have ever won on the hit NBC reality TV show.

Additionally, Lee will most definitely earn more money with his upcoming performances. Just like the previous winners of “America’s Got Talent,” Lee may also have a series of shows after his performances in Las Vegas.

For instance, young ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer just announced her new shows at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, starting Sept. 28. Farmer’s final show will take place at the Wild Style Burgers and Pizza on Jan. 18 at 8 p.m.

Meanwhile, during his appearance on “Britain’s Got Talent,” comedian Preacher Lawson told the crowd that he was homeless three years ago. But after he appeared on “America’s Got Talent,” he’s now confident that he will never become homeless again.
