“America’s Got Talent” Season 14 bid goodbye to some of its most memorable contestants after the second Judge Cuts round wrapped up this week. But the good news for fans is that one contestant may return as a wild card.

It has been a common practice for the hit NBC reality TV competition to bring back one contestant that the judges think deserves a spot in the live shows. Since only seven acts are able to advance to the live show every Judge Cuts episode, Simon Cowell, Howie Mendel, Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough have to narrow down their picks for the next round.

Following this week’s episode, some fan favorites who didn’t make it to the live shows were contemporary dancers Izzy and Easton and singer Lamont Landers. Izzy and Easton won the hearts of all four judges, most especially professional dancer Hough.

Unfortunately, since the competition is stiff, the dancing duo was not able to advance to the live shows. The acts that made it through were Indian dance crew V. Unbeatable, Indian danger act Bir Khalsa, girl group GFORCE, stand-up comedian Ryan Niemiller, songwriter Robert Finley, blacklight painter Alex Dowis and magician Don Chambers.

Lamont also made headlines after his audition but for all the wrong reasons. Cowell called Lamont cocky because he initially refused to change his song despite the producer’s advice.

Eventually, Lamont decided to learn a new song, and he once again sang for the judges. Cowell told the contestant that he saw potential in him, that’s why he wanted him to do better.

After Tuesday night’s episode, it was revealed that Lamont failed to impress three of the five judges. Union was the only one who told Lamont that she will be fighting for him. During the announcement, the singer seemingly looked upset due to the judges’ decision.

This season’s wild card contestant will also have the chance to bring home the $1 million grand prize during the finale, which usually airs during the end of August. “America’s Got Talent” will return to NBC on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
