Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie may have had a dark past, but Aniston does not mind being friends with Angelina Jolie. But what are the chances of Brad Pitt’s ex-wives becoming amicable?

Aniston was reportedly open to shaking Jolie’s hand as proof that she’s not holding any grudge against the “Maleficent” star despite her alleged cheating history with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. For Jolie, however, it’s a different story.

Even when Jolie’s own relationship with Pitt disastrously ended in 2016, she never once reached out to Aniston or at least sympathized with what Aniston had been through in the past. Last year, a source revealed that while Jolie had many regrets after her split with Pitt, making Aniston miserable after hooking up with Pitt was never one of them.

“Angelina has many regrets after leaving Brad, but one thing she has never felt terrible about was any bad feelings Jen Aniston may have towards her,” the source said.

It has been three years since Pitt and Jolie parted ways. Aniston, on the other hand, has long moved on from Pitt. Now that both of them are no longer associated with Pitt, the idea of seeing Jolie and Aniston being friendly with each other isn’t too far-fetched.

In fact, according to reports, their growing business relationship might pave the way for Aniston and Jolie to bury their past and end their supposed feud. Aniston has also long been trying to clear the air with Jolie in the hope of putting an end to all the feud rumors about them.

“What Jen wants is a clear opportunity to shake Angie’s hand, wish her the best and let the world see there’s no big feud here,” a source said. Unfortunately, being on friendly terms with Aniston doesn’t seem to be one of Jolie’s concerns.

The source revealed that it has long been Jennifer Aniston’s wish to patch things up with Jolie, but Jolie allegedly finds it awkward to be friends with Aniston. Despite that, some reports point to one thing that could make these two women come together — money.

Jolie might be forced to bury the hatchet with Aniston as they cross paths in the small world of Hollywood. Over the years, the two actresses have fostered growing relations with Netflix, and many consider this as a starting ground for a future friendship.

“This has been mooted for years but never happened because it was too awkward for Angie, basically,” said the source. “Now they’re crossing paths business-wise, and it’s awkward,” the source added.

Aniston’s association with Netflix started when she scored the lead in the streaming site’s original show “First Ladies.” Jolie, on the other hand, directed a historical thriller for Netflix titled “First They Killed My Father.”

As the two continue to expand their horizons and make future projects with the entertainment giant, it won’t be surprising if their paths cross soon. When that happens, it could only be a matter of time before Jolie finally decides to set things straight with Aniston and be civil with her, no matter how awkward it gets.

If there’s one person to make this reconciliation a tough thing to achieve, it’s clearly Jolie. Jennifer Aniston allegedly reached out to Angelina Jolie several times over the years to end their alleged feud, but Jolie had repeatedly refused to come to terms with her.

According to the source, crossing paths business-wise will give both actresses an enormous sense of closure, but Jolie will have to be open to it. In a 2015 interview, Aniston hinted that she’s totally over the feud rumors with Jolie.

“It’s just tiresome and old,” she said, referring to the feud rumors. “It’s like an old leather shoe. Let’s buy a new pair of shiny shoes,” she added.
