Jennifer Aniston reportedly had no inkling of the romance that was already brewing between her then-husband Brad Pitt and the actor’s “Mr & Mrs. Smith” co-star Angelina Jolie. The “Friends” star would later on get the shock of her life when Jolie eventually revealed that her romance with Pitt started while they were still filming.

Aniston had no idea what was coming and even talked to Jolie when the filming started, wishing her and Pitt to enjoy doing the movie. “I pulled over and introduced myself,” Jennifer narrated how she approached Angelina. “I said, ‘Brad is so excited about working with you. I hope you guys have a really good time.’”

But the attraction between Pitt and Jolie can’t be denied, and Brad had to leave Aniston for his new-found love. But even at this point, Pitt still assured Jennifer Aniston that no other woman was involved.

But it took just one interview to refute Pitt’s claim of remaining faithful to Aniston while they were still married. The same interview also kick-started the feud between the actresses’ respective fans and started the “Team Jen vs. Team Angie” thing rolling.

Jolie candidly answered when she was interviewed by Vogue in 2007. According to the actress, neither she nor Pitt actually planned to start a relationship.

“Brad was a huge surprise to me,” Jolie revealed. “I think we were both the last two people who were looking for a relationship. I certainly wasn’t.”

“I was quite content to be a single mom with Mad,” she added, explaining that they were quite happy with their respective lives at that time. “And I didn’t know much about exactly where Brad was in his personal life. But it was clear he was with his best friend, someone he loves and respects. And so we were both living, I suppose, very full lives.”

And then Jolie opened up on how their romance started while filming “Mr. And Mrs. Smith.” Of course Pitt was still married to Aniston at that time.

“Because of the film we ended up being brought together to do all these crazy things, and I think we found this strange friendship and partnership that kind of just suddenly happened,” Jolie said. “I think a few months in I realised, God, I can’t wait to get to work.”

“Whether it was shooting a scene or arguing about a scene or gun practice or dance class or doing stunts — anything we had to do with each other, we just found a lot of joy in it together and a lot of real teamwork,” she added. “We just became kind of a pair.”

Jennifer Aniston was not happy with the revelation. “There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening,” Aniston reacted after learning of Jolie’s interview. “I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.”
