'Archer'
"Archer" will return for season eight, nine and 10. FX

FX has announced that the animated spy comedy "Archer" has been renewed for three more seasons. This will carry the series through Season 10, with the eighth season set to premiere in 2017.

This is exciting news as the seventh season wrapped early this month on June 2 with a particularly intense cliffhanger. If you have not seen the entire seventh season of "Archer," stop reading now. The cliffhanger in question left the main character, Sterling Archer (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin), lying in a pool, seemingly dead! At the time, the network did not reveal if the series had been renewed, so many fans believed that would be the last they would see of the depraved and hilarious character.

Floyd County Productions, the company behind the show, has also signed a new overall deal with FX Networks.

"We can't say enough about what Adam [Reed], Matt [Thompson] and the entire Archer team at Floyd County have done to keep this series so insanely funny and vital through seven seasons," said Nick Grad, president of original programming for FX Networks and FX Productions. "The move to Los Angeles this past season as private detectives was just the latest twist in Archer’s legendary exploits and the next three seasons will to be just as amazing and unpredictable. We are thrilled to continue making great TV with our friends and colleagues at Floyd County."

The series features the voices of Benjamin as private detective and former spy Sterling Archer, Aisha Tyler as his colleague and occasional girlfriend Lana Kane, Jessica Walter as "HBIC" Malory Archer, Chris Parnell as comptroller Cyril Figgis, Judy Greer as the office assistant Cheryl Tunt, Amber Nash as agent and HR director Pam Poovey, Adam Reed as Ray Gillette, and Lucky Yates as Dr. Algernop Krieger.

"Archer" is currently available to stream on Netflix and Hulu.
