Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are arguably Hollywood’s favorite ex-couple. So much so, tabloids just can’t seem to see them back together, and wouldn’t mind going the extra mile to concoct a juicy narrative on the former lovers.

The latest rumor to be doing the rounds is how Pitt and Aniston are trying to realize their dream of becoming parents via surrogacy -- with the help of a selfless friend Alia Shawkat.

“New Idea” conjured up a rather spiced-up rumor that hinted at how Shawkat is willing to carry Pitt’s baby because they have become “as close as siblings.” The reference is plain absurd, on many levels.

“Alia is a fantastic, selfless person, and it has pained her to watch Brad and Jen’s struggle to be parents,” said the source to the media outlet, as per a recent report, while adding how the former couple has struggled to get pregnant naturally. The outlet makes outrageous claims suggesting how Pitt’s ex-wife Angelina Jolie is extremely envious of the “new developments” in Brad’s life. That’s not all -- the publication claims that Jolie is still unable to come to terms with how Pitt is moving on pretty well from their messy split.

First things first. Pitt and Aniston have time and again reiterated that they are not dating. Secondly, the spokespersons have repeatedly refuted claims of reconciliation between the two stars. Most importantly, while the concept of surrogacy is common in Hollywood, it’s very unlikely for two exes to approach another celeb to help them out with birthing their child.

Lastly, if two people aren’t together, why would they even want to parent a child together? The question never arises. The story is lopsided as there isn’t any clear mention of who Pitt is dating in the first place. The publication recently carried a feature that suggested the erstwhile couple heading to a Mexican orphanage to adopt a child. There have been no follow-ups in that regard, so far.

While Pitt and Aniston have given fans couple goals, it’s about time that rumor mills move on. Aniston shares a wonderful camaraderie with all her former lovers, and Pitt is no different. Speculating something beyond what there is, is plain unfair. Nothing more and nothing less.
