Following a loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup semifinals, Chelsea defender David Luiz called for an apology from Man City's Sergio Agüero after Argüero gave him a two-footed stomp to the back of his legs.

The incident occurred in the 82nd minute of Manchester City's 2-1 victory over the defending champions. The play resulted in a free-kick for Chelsea and Sergio Aguero was not issued a red card. The Telegraph reports that Argüero is not expected to be handed a retrospective red card by the Football Association.

"Aguero is a great player and I think he needs to be honest with himself and say 'I don't like to do bad tackles, I don't like to do that," the 25-year-old Brazilian said to reporters following the match. "I forgive everyone in my life, but many kids see the game, watch the game and want to see good things and not bad things."

The Chelsea star also told reporters from The Independent that had he committed a similar act, he would've addressed it. "Of course, I would apologize to everyone," Luiz noted. "I want just to show people good things."

Chelsea's loss to Man City in the semifinals means they won't have a chance to continue their dominance when it comes to winning FA Cup title matches. Over the last 6 seasons, Chelsea has won the championship match 4 times.

Manchester City last won the FA Cup title in 2011 when they defeated Stoke City 1-0.

The title match for Sergio Agüero and Man City is set for May 11 at London's Wembley Stadium.
