“Bachelor in Paradise” alumnus, Kevin Wendt, certainly did not hold back when discussing what he knows of Blake Horstmann and his drama with Caelynn Miller-Keyes. He refuses to take side though.

In an appearance on People TV’s Reality Check, accompanied by his girlfriend Astrid Loch, Wendt revealed that he was with Blake just the day before when the incriminating texts against Caelynn were released.

It can be remembered that Caelynn garnered the support of fans and viewers when she tearfully claimed that Blake hooked up with her one day after sleeping with Kristina Schulman at the Stagecoach Festival in April and then told her the night was a mistake. However, Blake countered these accusations by posting their text messages on his Instagram story, wherein it seemed that Caelynn was the one who sought him out for sex and was worried about people finding out.

Both sides aired their opinions following this drama. Blake apologized for publicizing the texts while Caelynn defended herself by claiming the exchange was an inaccurate depiction of their true relationship. Now, however, Wendt is adding to the "Bachelor in Paradise" drama.

First, he thinks its both right and wrong that Blake exposed those messages. He also claimed that it could be a panic attack on Blake’s part to have done so.

“At the start, he said, ‘I don’t want to do it, I know there is a line between the reality show and bringing in that,'” said Wendt. “You shouldn’t be hanging out before the show anyway, and he knew that. He knew it’s against our contract, you’re not supposed to be mingling with everybody, you are supposed to wait until the beach,” he added.

However, Blake changed his mind when his name was dragged through the mud on social media for what Caelynn accused him of doing. “And I think once he saw the reaction, like, Twitter can be very intimidating when you start hearing your name being thrown around as the worst person, compared to all the other villains. He got really, I guess anxiety and the crazy panic attack he had,” Wendt explained.

The alumnus added that while he does not take sides, he thinks Blake feels justified for what he has done after being subjected to the attacks based on allegations that were not fully true. Loch, Wend’s girlfriend had insights too.

Loch did not take sides as well, claiming it was certainly mortifying for Caelynn and her family to see all those texts in public. However, Blake for her, probably could not clear his name if he has not done it.

“I don’t think anyone would have believed him if he had just come out and did an interview or did a podcast or said something on Instagram,” she described of Blake’s decision. “I think that was the only way to sort of clear his name. I don’t know if I would have done it. But I understand where he came from.”
