Amid the backlash from former “The View” co-host Jenny McCarthy, journalist Barbara Walters had a screaming fit at “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg. Walters is currently suffering from advanced stage of dementia as she fails to recognize closest friends.

An insider disclosed to Radar Online the current status of Walters’ health, and it is not looking well for the TV legend. Walters is enduring an advanced stage of dementia, to the point that she can no longer recognize friends. The famous journalist is in a wheelchair and spends the day staring out of her windows.

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg recently paid Walters a visit to see how she was holding up in the thick of another “The View” fellow co-host McCarthy’s backlash. Goldberg, however, had to excuse herself from Walters’ room after the latter asked who Goldberg was. Goldberg’s visit apparently caused aggression in Walters.

The question was followed by several other questions that turned into screaming by Walters. “‘Who is she? Get out, get out! Help me! Get out,” was Walters’ response to Goldberg’s visit. The host was hysteric and could not be calmed down. The source revealed that Goldberg was saddened by Walters’ condition.

Walters came about a backlash from former “The View” co-host McCarthy after McCarthy claimed she was mistreated by Walters. McCarthy described her very brief “The View” stint as miserable. McCarthy shared her tell-all working experiences in a soon-to-be-released book “Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story Of ‘The View.’”

When Walters was asked about McCarthy in one instance from the past, Walters simply replied, “Who Is Jenny McCarthy?” No one could tell if it was dementia talking or Walters’ irritation toward McCarthy.

Her family admitted they fear it may be the end for Walters. It has been several times that Walters has been reported to be in her deathbed. Last year, a report emerged that Walters was already planning her funeral.

Walters retired from “The View” as a host in 2014 but appeared as a guest host from 2014 to 2015. She last appeared publicly in 2016 but still serves as executive producer for “The View.”
