While social media was ablaze following an interview given by Mexican artist Christian Nodal to journalist Adela Micha, his wife Ángela Aguilar appeared in Los Angeles to give an interview to Apple Music. Amid the controversy, Pepe Aguilar's daughter demonstrated her professionalism by honoring her commitment, but her words only served to add fuel to the fire.
"As a woman, it's something that affects me greatly: that what happens in our personal lives is given more attention than our careers," Aguilar said in the interview while reading the message on a tablet and appearing to tear up. "Women have to work 10 times harder."

His words seemed to be an attempt to redirect the narrative focused on the end of Nodal's relationship with Cazzu, the mother of Inti, his only daughter, and the dates that marked the beginning of the artist's relationship with Ángela.
According to statements made by Nodal, his romance with his current wife began during the pandemic (when he was supposedly still with his ex Belinda), was suspended, and they resumed on May 13 or 14, after he broke up with Cazzu on May 8.
He then shared that his first kiss with Angela was on May 15th, and that they were married "spiritually" in Rome on May 29th. A month later, they were legally married in Mexico.
In the interview with Micha, part of the YouTube episode of his show La Saga, Nodal can be seen "apologizing" to Cazzu for his actions, but repeatedly emphasizing that he had not been unfaithful. He also denied being a womanizer, although he described himself as "a soul in love."
The interview unleashed a new wave of criticism against Nodal and Ángela on social media. It also prompted internet detectives to corroborate the dates given by Nodal, recalling that rumors of a romance between them began when fans recognized a cross the artist always wore on the chest of his now-wife and found evidence that he had been wearing it since March.
As if that weren't enough, there's a photo in which Nodal congratulated Cazzu on Mother's Day, saying he loved her, on May 10.
