Rebecca Kiessling, whose two sons died of fentanyl overdoses, was not impressed when President Joe Biden laughed off the false claim that his administration was to be blamed for their deaths.

The Michigan woman's sons Caleb, 20, and Kyler, 18, died in July 2020 after they took Percocet pills laced with fentanyl.

She slammed Biden on Wednesday night on Facebook after he used her family's story to knock Grand Old Party Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's suggestion that he was responsible for the deaths.

On Tuesday, she had testified before the House Homeland Security Committee about the loss of her sons. She told Congress that more should be done to stop fentanyl imports, reported New York Post.

Greene seized on Kiessling's testimony and suggested that the two men might still be alive if Biden's administration had secured the border and stopped the drugs from entering the US.

On Wednesday night, Biden poked fun at Greene. He chuckled when he told a gathering of House Democrats in Baltimore that Kiessling's sons died when Donald Trump was the President.

Biden said that he had read that she was very specific recently saying that a "poor mother who lost two kids to fentanyl, that I killed her sons." He noted that the interesting thing is that the fentanyl that the boys took "came during the last administration." He added a "heh-heh" when one or two members of the audience murmured in disapproval of Greene.

Furious at Biden, Kiessling said that she was "shocked" at his reaction. She even demanded an apology from him.

She asked how dare he, and wondered what was the matter with him. She was angry as he mocked her pain.

Kiessling acknowledged that her sons died just six months before Biden was elected, but she slammed his government for the way it's been handling the fentanyl crisis.

She asked what about the "22% increase in fentanyl deaths since you became the President?"

Shocked critics also lashed out at Biden.

Senator Mike Lee tweeted that Biden needs to apologize for this immediately, and said that no person laughs "when speaking about a mother who lost two sons to fentanyl poisoning."

Conservative podcaster Robby Starbuck called Biden laughing at the tragic story "so incredibly inappropriate and vile."
