The official D23 poster of “Black Widow” movie has been released online. The picture teases the stylish new costume of Scarlett Johansson, and it also reveals the major new characters like Red Guardian (David Harbour), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), and Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz).

Andy Park, who is Marvel Studio’s director of visual department, shared the poster on his Instagram page. In his post he revealed that he had the “honor” of painting this poster, and added that the lead character is “near & dear” to him. He also wrote that this movie is “gonna be a good one.”

Natasha is in the center in the new poster. The character has drastically different costume in the solo movie, when compared to what she wore in the previous movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She is flanked by the other major characters in the movie, while the villain Taskmaster’s face looms over her.

The new character Red Guardian is from the comic books. The character is USSR’s version of Captain America (Chris Evans).

The plot of “Black Widow” revolves around Natasha taking on the Red Room program of the Soviets. Both Yelena Belova and Melina Vostokoff are from this program.

The black costume of Natasha isn’t the only one that she will wear in the upcoming film. There is another white costume she will get to wear in the film. The white costume was on display at the D23 event, and a video of the outfit has surfaced on Twitter.

Filming started earlier this year, and the team was able to put together a short video for the fans at the D23 event. That video is yet to be release to the public.

“Black Widow” is being directed by Cate Shortland. The film will be released on May 1, 2020. The first official trailer and more details of the movie will be released in the coming months.
