The team will have a new villain to fry in Episode 16 of Season 6 of “The Blacklist.” But what’s more interesting to fans is that Red is now bent in investigating the identity of the person who previously turned him in.

“Olivia Olson” Recap

The team almost caught Olivia Olson in the previous “The Blacklist” episode, but the villain is as slippery as an eel, or perhaps is just what Red wants her to think. Reddington wanted to rattle her and probe her connection with Anna McMahon by telling Olivia that he’s willing to betray the presidential advisor.

Anna reacted, which proved that she was in touch with Olivia and was working with her for her own little project. Part of the evil duo’s plan was to launch a hostile takeover to a target company by bringing its shares down using an accident. Unfortunately for the team, they were just a few minutes too late and a few people died due to the “accident.”

When the team raided Olivia’s hideout, she slipped ahead just in time to make a getaway. However, she failed to destroy all her files, which was probably a diversion as she is seen smiling like a Cheshire cat as if it was all part of her plans. Olivia and Anna’s secrets are safe for now.

“The Blacklist” Season 6 Episode 16 Spoilers

The 16th episode is titled “Lady Luck,” which is the code name of yet another blacklister that will be targeted by the team. This person has mastered the art of erasing away gambling debts, but his services carry a very high price tag.

But what got fans worried is that Red now seems determined to get the identity of who got him in jail. “I’m not gonna stop until I find the person who turned me in,” Reddington can be heard saying in the brief “The Blacklist” trailer.

Red’s plan must have somehow reached Liz. “He can’t know it was me,” a visibly worried Liz said. And it’s just not Liz who’s worried as Red probably opened up his intention to Dembe as well. “If you knew the truth, would you come forward and stop me from taking a life?” Red asks Dembe.

It appears that both Dembe and Liz will be in a predicament in “Lady Luck.” The logical course of action is to erase all tracks of Liz’s involvement in Red’s arrest.

But knowing Red’s methods, it might be hard for both of them to outsmart a mastermind. By now, fans must be dying to know if Reddington will eventually know that it was Liz who turned him in. If that happens, will Red really take Liz’s life?

“Liz and Ressler investigate a Blacklister who offers to erase gambling debts — at a deceptively high price. Dembe grows concerned as Red tests loyalties of their business associates in search of the individual who turned him in to the police. Michael Aronov guest stars,” reads the episode synopsis.
