@mikiewatsofficial2 The police walked by with 1 officer getting agitated and even admitting that @itsmztoonz put a camera in his face which is not grounds for an arrest. The other person with her did make a comment responding to the officer instigating it which is still not grounds for arrest. No warnings were given just aresst him. @LVMPD RELEASE THEM!!!!! #lasvegas #viral #news #breakingnews #trumpprotest #kingsday2025 #protest #unlawfularrest #releasefromcustody #lasvegasmetropolitanpolice #lvmpd #freedomofspeech #laprotest #righttoprotest

TikTok streamer and internet personality Karlin Martinez, who is on social media under the handle @itsmztoonz, was filming officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Thursday night when she was arrested alongside another man who was present.
In the video, Martinez is simply filming the officers walking along the sidewalk when one officer asks the two if they are "enjoying" themselves.
"You know, covering everything," Martinez responds.
"Got nothing better to do?" the officer asks them.
"Honor your oath. How about honor your oath, b-tch. How about that, honor your oath," responds the man with Martinez.
One officer can then be seen gesturing to the rest of the officers, upon which they all turn around and begin walking towards the couple.
"This guy goes to jail. He goes to jail. Let's go," said an officer.
"I didn't do nothing, I didn't say nothing," Martinez can be heard saying.
The officers then proceed to arrest the couple and take them into custody.
Social media users reacted in outrage, criticizing the officers and demanding that the couple be released from custody.
"Did not know it was still live streaming. Listen to their words. And how the 1st amendment doesn't mean shit to them," said one Reddit user.
"The entire lot of them turned around? F--k me. I'm demonstrating tomorrow in downtown LV tomorrow with these f--ks holding the thin blue line," said another.
"These cops are nothing but thugs and criminals every last one of them," wrote a third.
"Not only does this look awful for American cops, but it makes cops everywhere look really, really bad," said a fourth.
"The police walked by with 1 officer getting agitated and even admitting that @itsmztoonz put a camera in his face which is not grounds for an arrest. The other person with her did make a comment responding to the officer instigating it which is still not grounds for arrest. No warnings were given just aresst him. @LVMPD RELEASE THEM!!!!!" wrote one TikTok user, reposting the video.
Other users were quick to point out that officers did not read the pair their Miranda rights and suggested they contact a civil rights attorney.
