Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt announced their split in 2016, but their divorce is still far from being finalized. Currently, Pitt and Jolie are in the middle of negotiating their multimillion-dollar divorce case, and it looks like they won’t be able to settle it anytime soon.

A recent report revealed that Pitt and Jolie have requested more time from the court so they could get all their financial issues worked out. Pitt and Jolie still havent been able to agree on how they would split up their fortune, so their divorce is not even close to being over.

According to the report, Pitt asked the court to allow him and Jolie to proceed with their ongoing discussions with the help of a private judge. Jolie also reportedly agreed with Pitt on this matter, filing documents to “Extend Appointment Of Privately Compensated Temporary Judge” so the court would allow them to extend their time discussing things with a private judge.

The LA County Courts reportedly granted the former couple’s request provided that they would pay for the private judge’s time themselves.

Pitt and Jolie are particularly having issues with their former winery in France, Miraval. The former couple purchased the winery in 2011 for $60 million. According to sources, their original plan was to pass the property down to their children, but it looks like they now want to split the Chateau between themseleves.

While Pitt and Jolie earn millions from their respective projects each year, they reportedly comingled much of their wealth when they were still together. Their divorce process has reportedly taken so long already because there’s a ton of money involved in their split.

Back in 2018, it was reported that the reason they couldn’t finalize their divorce was the negotiation for the custody of their kids, which the ex-couple was having a hard time to settle. “They are kind of at an impasse at this point because the focus has been on custody; nothing else has been hashed out yet,” said a source.

As of this week, however, it has been reported that Pitt and Jolie have already agreed on a custody agreement for their six children. Talks regarding the custody have been going on smoothly, but private negotiations on the split of their properties will continue in the coming months.
