Taylor Swift’s squad is one of the most elite social circles in the entertainment industry. Considering that her squad is made up of highly popular singers like Selena Gomez and Shawn Mendes, many wonder whether Ariana Grande also has what it takes to be part of Swift’s circle.

Swift and Grande are not BFFs like Swift and Gomez are, but they are friends enough. Swift and Grande have shared the Billboard charts several times already, and they are very much on good terms. At the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion show, the two singers were spotted hugging backstage after a pajama party. They also shared a backstage hug at the 2016 Grammys, complimenting each other for their music. Here are the reasons Grande is a good candidate to join Swift’s squad.

Taylor Swift Looks Up To Ariana Grande

There was a time when Swift complimented Grande on social media after the latter wrote an essay on feminism, blasting the media for consistently asking women sexist questions. A feminist herself, Swift reacted to the “Thank U, Next” singer, telling her how proud she was of her. “I’m so proud of you, always. But especially today,” Swift told Grande.

Ariana Grande Is Friends With Selena Gomez

Another thing that makes Grande a potential member of Swift’s squad is the fact that she’s already friends with many of Swift’s squad members, particularly Gomez. Gomez is one of Grande’s allies in the music industry, whom she always defends against bad press.

Once a publication labeled Gomez as “Justin Bieber’s ex,” and Grande was quick to defend her. “This person has had so many great records in the last year, and she hasn’t been dating him forever. Call her by her name!” she said.

Taylor Swift Is Supportive Of Ariana Grande

Both Swift and Grande are super famous, young, 20-something pop princesses, but there is no bad blood between them. In fact, Swift admires Grande just as much as Grande admires her. That is why after the horrific Manchester attack that killed some of Grande’s fans during her own concert, Swift was quick to express her support and love for her fellow singer and her fans. “My thoughts, prayers and tears for all those affected by the Manchester tragedy tonight,” Swift wrote. “I’m sending all my love,” she added.

Arian Grande Is More Than Willing To Be Part Of Taylor Swift’s Squad

Grande once revealed in an interview that she was willing to do everything to be part of Swift’s circle. “Oh wow!” Grande said when asked if she would love to join the squad. “That would be crazy! Do you have to do anything weird to get in?” she added. The singer also described the girls in the squad as nice, saying she would be so down to be part of the club.
