The Portland Trail Blazers host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Moda Center in a battle of two teams looking to get back on the winning track.

Cleveland is coming off a loss to the Utah Jazz, 114-116 on Tuesday, Jan. 11, while Portland suffered a defeat at the hands of the Orland Magic on the same day. But between both teams, even more, appalling was the fact that the Trail Blazers are on a four-game losing spell with their last win being against the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 2, 135-106.

And if oddsmakers are to be believed, the Trail Blazers are likely to suffer their fifth-straight defeat.

Cleveland is a -2.5 spread favorite to prevail over the Jazz who are at +2.5. The Moneyline is -140 for the Cavaliers and +118 for the Trail Blazers.

The Cavaliers have listed Jarrett Allen as questionable. Ricky Rubio, Dylan Windler and Dean Wade have been listed as out against the Trail Blazers.

However, Rubio’s status could be upgraded following reports that he is set to return from tearing a knee ligament and undergoing surgery, the Associated Press reported.

Regardless, Portland will have to find a way to buck the odds against the favored Cavs.

In their loss to the Magic, Damian Lillard led the way with 30 points and five assists. Jusuf Nurkic added 22 markers and 10 rebounds in that loss.

In their first meeting in November, the Cavaliers won 114-96. Portland will be looking to even the odds as the two teams brace for their last regular season series showdown.

The Portland Trail Blazers host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday at the Moda Center with the game set to start at 10:00 p.m. E.T. The game will be televised via NBA League Pass with live streaming available through fuboTV.
