A longtime insider of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has said that the ruling party and elite leader Xi Jinping is a threat to the world, which led to her expulsion from last week.

Cai Xia is now a new name when it comes to speaking out for liberal ideas and supporting democratic reforms in China. She has been an integral part of the CCP’s stop training center and think tank for years.

She caused a stir in China with a rare rebuke that denounced CCP and the Chinese president Xi Jinping. Cai has been living in the U.S. since the last one year and in a rare statement not much expected from a longtime CCP insider, she urged the government of America to further strengthen their steps against Beijing amid escalating tensions between the two nations.

"The relationship between China and the United States is not a conflict between the two peoples, but a contest and confrontation between two systems and two ideologies," Cai said during a recent interview.

Cai further said that she supported the U.S. government’s decision to ban telecommunications giant Huawei over security concerns due to the company’s alleged connection to the CCP and the transfer of crucial information. The allegations have been strictly denied by Huawei ever since.

She also called on the global community to join hands against the CCP and prevent them from “infiltrating” big corporations and spreading Xi's "totalitarian" ideals. Cai has asked the U.S. government to impose sanctions against the top Chinese officials and CCP members.

Cai said that the CCP aims to bring its model of governance "to replace the free and democratic system of modern mankind represented by the United States, and the values and order of peace, democracy, freedom and justice."

The political relations between the U.S. and China are at its lowest point in decades. There has been debate and conflict over every issue that can be thought of, starting from the coronavirus pandemic to the Hong Kong security law, South China Sea conflict, trade agreement and misuse of technology.
