Dying Light Weapons And Blueprints
Check out all the rare weapon locations, hidden items, and glitches in 'Dying Light.' Techland

When it comes to zombie survival games, the latest "Dying Light" by Techland is hitting all the right notes with its combination of melee weapons and firearms to take on zombie attacks as well as progressive parkour free-run mechanics to make for quick getaways from overwhelming zombie swarms that roam at night. As far as the plot is concerned, it is as much about performing missions for the shadowy GRE operation and side quests for the survivors of the zombie-infested town of Harran as it is about crafting new weapons and learning new skills.

The world of "Dying Light" is dangerous and you know you can use a little bit of help. Here are some tips and trips that we have compiled to help you survive the swarms and aggressive zombies, create effective weapons that will take them down, and and take advantage of the city of Harran in "Dying Light."

The most fundamental tip in "Dying Light" is supplies. Without supplies, you will not be able to upgrade weapons, craft items, sell items, or create medkits to heal yourself. That said, be sure to check all the refridgerators, cabinets, boxes, and even the back door of vans or the trunks of cars to search for objects you need. Items are color coded to identify its rarity. White is common, green is uncommon, blue items are rare, violet is exceptionally rare and finally orange is legendary. Be sure to never run out of lockpicks as items violet or better are often found in very difficult locks.

Next, let's talk about the unicorns of the weapons world: EXPcalibur and the Korek Machete. As far as melee weapons are concerned, both weapons feature a remarkable base stat well over 300 damage. For those that do not possess the items yet, check out the videos below that reveal exactly where you must go to find them. The most frustrating feature of the weapons are its durability. Once the novelty weapons become blunt and damaged, they are impossible to repair.

However, there is another way to never lose the EXPCaliber and the Korek Machete that you worked so hard to get. Here's an amazing duplication glitch that will make sure you'll never suffer separation anxiety when your EXPCaliber :

  1. Acquire the Melee "Throw" skill, available in the "Power" skills menu. "
  2. Equip your EXPCaliber or Korek Machete.
  3. Throw the weapon using the Throw skill, preferably against a wall or a fence and not hundreds of yards down a cliff.
  4. Immediately after throwing the weapon (i.e., before it even hits the ground), open up your inventory, select the weapon you just threw, and "drop" it from your inventory.
  5. Now, you will have two weapons: the one you had thrown and the one you had dropped.
  6. OPTIONAL: valuable weapons are worth a lot, so if you want to make a lot of money, you can duplicate them until your inventory is full and bring it back to a safe house to sell.

Finally, let's talk about some of the random hidden items within Harran. Our favorite? It is unquestionably the awesome "Surprise MFs" blueprint that is located at the top of a bridge tower. To understand more of the "Dying Light" goodies, be sure to watch the tips and tricks videos below!
