Ecuadorian Singer-Songwriter Luz Pinos Presents 'Mariposa Azul Tour', Find Dates Here

After a successful tour in Latin America, the Ecuadorian singer-songwriter Luz Pinos arrives in Miami and New York City with her "Mariposa Azul Tour." The rising star will perform on July 20 at Macondo Cafe in Miami and on August 19 at SOBs in New York City. With a unique sound Luz presents her debut album, "Mariposa Azul," led by the first single "Mozo."

The singer and songwriter is nominated in the “Premios Unidad, The Ecuadorian Music Awards 2017” in three categories: “Best Emerging Artist”, “Best Alternative Video” and “Best Alternative Song” for the single “Mozo.” Luz Pinos is confirmed to perform on August 3rd at the Premios Unidad in New York City.

Born in Cuenca and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Luz Pinos moved to New York City at age 18 to attend the prestigious university “The New School.” It is there where she develops her own sound which the artist calls “South American Pop”, a fusion of Latin Rhythms like bolero, ballad, danzón, trova and folklore. The 25 year old artist with a mezzo-soprano voice distinguishes herself as a powerful singer and shines in her debut album Mariposa Azul. 

In what has been a year of milestones, Luz Pinos, is the 2017 Gold Medal Award Winner at the Global Music Awards for Best Female Vocalist and Best Emerging Artist. Pinos was recognized by the legendary Juan Luis Guerra for her version of the song “Amapola” included in her debut album, Mariposa Azul.

Now, only a couple of weeks after the release date she has already reached over 45,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, "Mozo" reached over 100,000 plays and is currently on 4 Top Spotify playlists. Which is making Luz plan her first tour to North, South America and Europe with Mariposa Azul very soon. 

The singer-songwriter will be in NYC July 28 through August 3rd and will be visiting Latin Times to present in a Facebook Live her hits. Stay tuned to Latin Times Facebook page for final date!
