We will see a lot more Cookie and Lucious when "Empire" returns to Fox for its third season, and we do not mean more Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard. According to Fansided, the Fox musical drama is on the search to cast a teenage versions of Cookie and Lucious to appear in flashbacks.

This new information suggests that the series will spend a lot of time diving into Cookie and Lucious' background in the coming season. The characters' origin stories may finally be told and viewers could get to see how the couple meet, fall in love, get married and welcome their three sons.

In Season 2, we got a glimpse into the sad childhood of Lucious, but not much has been revealed about Cookie's past and family life. We know the character has two sisters, but are there more siblings? And her parents are still a mystery.

Teenage Cookie is described as a "beautiful but innocent Catholic schoolgirl," while young Lucious is said to "possess an incredible voice and his own sense of style."

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with TV Guide, "Empire" executive producer Sanna Hamri reveals what Anika (Grace Gealey) will face in Season 3.

Hamri revealed how Anika definitely still had feelings for Lucious after sharing a relationship, even if it ended badly. With her pregnancy an important issue that urged her to bring herself together to go and get what she thinks she deserves, Hamri explained how Anika has just been "trying to preserve herself, just like everyone else."

"Anika is in so much trouble. And that is what’s tragic about parts of her characters is. She has to go to such lengths to preserve herself," Hamri said.

Plus, the executive producer hinted at who would survive in the intense battle between Anika and Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday). Previously, producer Ilene Chaiken teased how "only one will survive the fight." and Hamri dropped a huge clue saying it was Anika who survives the fight, and leaves Rhonda dead.

"Andre (Trai Byers) is going to witness a death that’s going to deeply affect him," Hamri said.

As Andre does not have any deep emotional connection with Anika, it appears as if Rhonda may be the one to go. We will not know for sure until "Empire" returns for its third season this fall.
