“Black Mass”

Directed by Scott Copper and written by Mark Mallouk and Jez Butterworth, the story is set in the 1970s in South Boston, where FBI Agent John Connolly (Edgerton) persuades Irish mobster James “Whitey” Bulger (Depp) to collaborate with the FBI and eliminate a common enemy: the Italian mob. The drama tells the story of this unholy alliance, which spiraled out of control, allowing Whitey to evade law enforcement, consolidate power, and become one of the most ruthless and powerful gangsters in Boston history. The film stars Johnny Depp, Kevin Bacon, Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch and Dakota Johnson and hits theatres on September 18.

“Everest”

Directed by Baltasar Kormákur, the action film follows a group of climbers from two different expeditions fight for survival during a fierce snowstorm on Mount Everest. The cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Elizabeth Debicki, Keira Knightley, Josh Brolin, Robin Wright and Sam Worthington, amongst others. The film hits theatres on September 18.

“Sicario”

Directed by Denis Villeneuve and written by Taylor Sheridan, the movie follows idealistic FBI agent Kate Macer (Emily Blunt), who, after rising through the ranks of her male-dominated profession, receives a top assignment. Recruited by mysterious government official Matt Graver (Josh Brolin), Kate joins a task force for the escalating war against drugs. Led by the intense and shadowy Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), the team travels back-and-forth across the U.S.-Mexican border, using one cartel boss (Bernardo Saracino) to flush out a bigger one (Julio Cesar Cedillo). “The Martian”

When astronauts blast off from the planet Mars, they leave behind Mark Watney (Matt Damon), presumed dead after a fierce storm. With only a meager amount of supplies, the stranded visitor must utilize his wits and spirit to find a way to survive on the hostile planet. Meanwhile, back on Earth, members of NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring him home, while his crew mates hatch their own plan for a daring rescue mission. The epic movie hits theatres on October 2.

“The Walk”

Twelve people have walked on the moon. Only one has ever, or will ever, walk in the immense void between the World Trade Center towers. Philippe Petit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), guided by his real-life mentor, Papa Rudy (Ben Kingsley), is aided by an unlikely band of international recruits, who overcome long odds, betrayals, dissension and countless close calls to conceive and execute their mad plan. Robert Zemeckis, the master director of such marvels as Forrest Gump, Cast Away, Back to the Future, Polar Express and Flight, again uses cutting edge technology in the service of an emotional, character-driven story. With innovative photorealistic techniques and IMAX® 3D wizardry, The Walk is genuine big-screen cinema, a chance for moviegoers to viscerally experience the feeling of reaching the clouds. The movie releases in 3D IMAX theaters on September 30 and nationwide on October 9.

“PAN”

Living a bleak existence at a London orphanage, 12-year-old Peter (Levi Miller) finds himself whisked away to the fantastical world of Neverland. Adventure awaits as he meets new friend James Hook (Garrett Hedlund) and the warrior Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara). They must band together to save Neverland from the ruthless pirate Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman). Along the way, the rebellious and mischievous boy discovers his true destiny, becoming the hero forever known as Peter Pan. The film hits theatres on October 9.

“Ladrones”

In the first film, legendary thieves Alejandro Toledo (Fernando Colunga) and Emilio Sánchez (Miguel Varoni), took down an infomercial guru who was taking advantage of Latino immigrants. Following that successful heist, the modern day Robin Hoods left their lives of crime for a more civilian life. Varoni joined the FBI and Colunga is a businessman. “Ladrones” sees Colunga return to his do-gooder robbing roots, and although Varoni can’t quite commit to helping out, he introduces Colunga to the hilariously skilled Santiago Guzmán (Eduardo Yáñez) to help him with the mission of a lifetime. Their goal? The two must work to reclaim land stolen from a hard working community by a ruthless family of crooks led by a beautiful but lethal diva. Action and comedy ensues as Colunga and Yáñez must recruit their new team of “Robin Hoods” to perform the biggest heist of their careers and save the future of an entire town. “Hotel Transylvania 2”

The Drac pack is back for an all-new monster comedy adventure in Sony Pictures Animation's "Hotel Transylvania 2!" Everything seems to be changing for the better at Hotel Transylvania... Dracula’s rigid monster-only hotel policy has finally relaxed, opening up its doors to human guests. But behind closed coffins, Drac is worried that his adorable half-human, half-vampire grandson, Dennis, isn’t showing signs of being a vampire. So while Mavis is busy visiting her human in-laws with Johnny – and in for a major cultural shock of her own – “Vampa” Drac enlists his friends Frank, Murray, Wayne and Griffin to put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp. But little do they know that Drac’s grumpy and very old, old, old school dad Vlad is about to pay a family visit to the hotel. And when Vlad finds out that his great-grandson is not a pure blood – and humans are now welcome at Hotel Transylvania – things are going to get batty!

“Goosebumps”

Upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya Rush), living right next door, and makes a quick friend in Champ (Ryan Lee). But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach’s comes when he learns that Hannah’s mysterious dad is in fact R.L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. As Zach starts learning about the strange family next door, he soon discovers that Stine holds a dangerous secret: the creatures that his stories made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When Stine’s creations are unintentionally released from their manuscripts, Zach’s life takes a turn for the weird. In a crazy night of adventure, it’s up to Zach, Hannah, Champ, and Stine to team up and get all of these figments of Stine’s imagination – including Slappy the Dummy, the girl with the haunted mask, the gnomes and many more – back in the books where they belong to save the town. The film opens on October 16 all over the country.

“Crimson Peak”

Written and directed by Guillermo del Toro, the film followsthe story of the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds...and remembers. The film stars Charlie Hunnam, Jessica Chastain and Tom Hiddleston, and hits thetares right on time for the spooky holiday, on October 16. Check out the trailer, here.

“SPECTRE”

A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organization known as SPECTRE. The cast also includes Daniel Craig, Dave Bautista, Christoph Waltz, Ralph Fiennes and Léa Seydoux. Craig’s last Bond movie hits theatres all over the world on November 6. Trailer here.

“The 33”

Directed by Patricia Riggen and written by Mikko Alanne, Craigo Borten and Michael Thomas, the film tells a story of resilience, personal transformation and triumph of the human spirit, the film takes us to the Earth’s darkest depths, revealing the psyches of the men trapped in the mine, and depicting the courage of both the miners and their families. Based on the gripping true story of survival—and filmed with the cooperation of the miners, their families and their rescuers. The film stars Antonio Banderas, Rodrigo Santoro, Juliette Binoche, James Brolin, Lou Diamond Phillips, Bob Gunton, Gabriel Byrne, Mario Casas, Jacob Vargas, Juan Pablo Raba, Oscar Nuñez, Tenoch Huerta, Marco Treviño, Adriana Barraza, Kate del Castillo, and Cote de Pablo, amongst others. “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2”

Realizing the stakes are no longer just for survival, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) teams up with her closest friends, including Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and Finnick for the ultimate mission. Together, they leave District 13 to liberate the citizens of war-torn Panem andassassinate President Snow, who's obsessed with destroying Katniss. What lies ahead are mortal traps, dangerous enemies and moral choices that will ultimately determine the future of millions. The final isntallment of THG hits theatres on November 20. Trailer here.

“Secret in their Eyes”

Directed by Billy Ray, the adaptation of the Argentinian film follows a tight-knit team of FBI investigators, along with their District Attorney supervisor, is suddenly torn apart when they discover that one of their own teenage daughters has been brutally murdered. The film stars Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, Lyndon Smith and Chiwetel Ejiofor. It opens on November 20. Click for the trailer here.

“The Good Dinosaur”

"The Good Dinosaur" asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo (voice of Raymond Ochoa) makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.

“Creed”

Directed and co-written by Ryan Coogler and Aaron Covington, the film follos Adonis Johnson (Jordan) never knew his famous father, world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who died before he was born. Still, there’s no denying that boxing is in his blood, so Adonis heads to Philadelphia, the site of Apollo Creed’s legendary match with a tough upstart named Rocky Balboa. Once in the City of Brotherly Love, Adonis tracks Rocky (Stallone) down and asks him to be his trainer. Agreeing to take him on, Rocky trains the young fighter. The cast includes Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone and English pro boxer and former three-time ABA Heavyweight Champion Anthony Bellew. Opens in theatres on November 25.

“The Night Before”

From Jonathan Levine, the acclaimed director of “50/50,” comes the new comedy "The Night Before." Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen) and Chris (Anthony Mackie) have been friends since childhood, and for a decade, their yearly Christmas Eve reunion has been an annual night of debauchery and hilarity. Now that they’re entering adulthood, the tradition is coming to an end, and to make it as memorable as possible, they set out to find the Nutcracka Ball – the Holy Grail of Christmas parties. The film hits theatres on November 25.
