Gamers should expect "Final Fantasy XV" to be as emotional as "Final Fantasy VII," director Hajime Tabata revealed. In an interview with Game Informer (via Gamespot) Tabata said he wants to give gamers a moving ending due to the amount of time they will invest playing.

"I want to create a very emotional ending to the game and want to make as many people cry as possible," Tabata said. "You’re spending so many hours playing the game, so when I finish a game and it ends on a sour note and it doesn’t move me, it gets me disappointed."

Tabata revealed he and his team, which include many of the developers who worked on "Final Fantasy VII," are "taking on the challenge of trying to exceed that title once more." He said that using "FFVII" as inspiration sets a very high goal for his team, but also manages to be a great motivator.

Square Enix is expected to announce a release date for "Final Fantasy XV" sometime this month.

The game is said to release on PS4, Xbox One and possibly PC.
