“The Flash” season 8 welcomes the return of Robbie Amell recently. However, the actor himself revealed that he is back only for a limited time, for only four episodes.

After appearing in episode 13, the clock is ticking on Amell. And in episode 14 of “The Flash,” it appears showrunner Eric Wallace will start narrating why the man who plays the part of Deathstorm is back.

It will be recalled that Team Flash held off trying to contain the supervillain. From there, the interest angle involving Deathstorm and Caitlyn (Danielle Panabaker) was brought up once more.

It will be recalled that Panabaker and Amell were a couple when “The Flash” started. Amell was half of “Firestorm” before he eventually died.

And though he is back but playing a different character, the flames of their past relationship is in the air. But in the process, Deathstorm has wreaked havoc and the decision to hold off and set the villain loose in Central City.

"Sometimes-and this is a very very big hint-sometimes the bigger the villain, the simpler the motivation. IT's not always some crazy, convoluted Machiavellian plan. The working title for this graphic novel, which is not a spoiler, was 'The Blackfire Hauntings.' When I first pitched my crazy ideas, my staff looked at me like, 'What? Are you out of your mind? That sounds like a horror movie.' And I went, 'Yes, it is a horror movie. We're going to do The Flash's version of a horror film over several episodes.' And once they got past that, then the excitement set in," Wallace explained via TV Insider.

Also, Amell revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he was back on a four-episode deal. One has already gone away and it appears the second one is on “The Flash” episode 14.

Episode 14 is titled “Honor The Fallen.” Someone will reportedly be written off. If not Amell, it may be another member of the team, an iteration that could provide a better overview of where the show is headed.
