During the American Ferrari Racing Days event held at Monterey, California's Laguna Seca race track, Bud Moeller put his private Rubens Barichello Ferrari V10 F2003-GA Formula 1 car through its paces. Pinning the throttle on the straights before taking the Bridgestone tires to the very limits of adhesion at every turn, Moeller even pulled an unfathomable cornering force of 2G (!) at the apex of Laguna Seca's infamous 'Corkscrew' left-right blind crest chicane. Eventually, the retired Ferrari Formula 1 racing car would complete the lap in a blistering 1:11.6.
Ferrari Racing Days are events hosted by Ferrari for the elite members of Ferrari's Corse Cliente program. Held at different venues across the world, Ferrari owners come together to race their prized automobiles and to generally enjoy each other's company.
Racing blog Axis of Oversteer not only shared on-board video footage of the incredible lap, but also included an additional video shot from the lens of a Ferrari 333 SP prototype-class race car that shared some track time with the ferocious F1 machine. Pay close attention to the 10 second mark, where you'll find the F1 car speed away at the start/finish straight. The poor 333 SP never stood a chance!
