It's almost Friday the 13th or better known as Black Friday or the Day of Misfortune. Friday the 13th is a long standing western superstition that dates back all the way to the Middle Ages. It is believed that when the 13th day of the month falls on a Friday that day is surrounded by nothing but bad luck.

Other scholars claim that there is no written evidence for a "Friday the 13th" superstition before the 19th century, and the superstition only gained widespread distribution in the 20th century. Whatever the case may be the day is absolutely surrounded in weirdness. According to the Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute in North Carolina, an estimated 17 to 21 million people in the U.S. are affected by a fear of this day, making it the most feared day and date in history.

Some people are so paralyzed by fear that they avoid their normal routines in doing business, taking flights or even getting out of bed. 1. "At the Devil's Door" - When ambitious young real estate agent Leigh (Catalina Sandino Moreno) is asked to sell a house with a checkered past, she crosses paths with a disturbed girl whom she believes is the runaway daughter of the couple selling the property. When Leigh tries to intervene and help her, she becomes entangled with a supernatural force that soon pulls Leigh's artist sister Vera (Naya Rivera) into its web - and has sinister plans for both of them.

2. "Scream" - A masked killer begins killing teenagers in the small town of Woodsboro. One young girl, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), and her friends realize that as the number of deaths go up, to survive they must follow the rules or horror movies.

3. "The Omen" - Mysterious deaths surround an American ambassador. Could the child that he is raising actually be the anti-christ? The devil's own son? This cult-classic horror stars Gregory Peck, Lee Remick and Harvey Stephens.

4. "Maniac" - As he helps a young artist with her upcoming exhibition, the owner of a mannequin shop's deadly, suppressed desires come to the surface. "Maniac" is directed by Frank Khalfoun and stars Elijah Wood, Nora Arnezeder, Jan Broberg, American Olivo and Liane Balaban.

5. "Here Comes the Devil" - A couple's son and daughter inexplicably reappear after being lost overnight on a desolate, cave-riddled mountainside. Becoming withdrawn and beginning to exhibit strange behavior, their parents quickly assume something sinister happened to them while missing and alone. But after hearing an ominous local legend... the concerned mother and father begin to realize that their children may have fallen prey to something inhuman - and that this dark, unstoppable evil has now returned home with them.

6. "Let the Right One In" - Oskar, an overlooked and bullied boy, finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl.

7. "Oculus" - A woman tries to exonerate her brother, who was convicted of murder, by proving that the crime was committed by a supernatural phenomenon. "Oculus" stars Karen Gillan, Brenton Thwaites, Rory Cochrane, Katee Sackhoff and James Lafferty. Check out the creepy trailer below:

8. "You're Next" - When the Davison family comes under attack during their wedding anniversary getaway, the gang of mysterious killers soon learns that one of the victims harbors a secret talent for fighting back.

9. "Day of the Dead" - A small group of military officers and scientists dwell in an underground bunker as the world above is overrun by zombies. This is THE zombie movie of all zombie movies and if you are a fan of this specific genre you will watch George A. Romero's classic.

10. "Antichrist" - A grieving couple retreat to their cabin in the woods, hoping to repair their broken hearts and troubled marriage. But nature takes its course and things go from bad to worse.

11. "Kill List" - Nearly a year after a botched job, a hitman takes a new assignment with the promise of a big payoff for three killings. What starts off as an easy task soon unravels, sending the killer into the heart of darkness.

12. "The ABCs of Death" - A 26-chapter anthology that showcases death in all its vicious wonder and brutal beauty.

13. "The Den" - A young woman studying the habits of webcam chat users from the apparent safety of her apartment witnesses a brutal murder online and is quickly immersed in a nightmare in which she and her loved ones are targeted for the same grisly fate as the first victim.

14. "Rosemary's Baby" - Another cult-classic this film tells the tale of a young couple who move into a new apartment, only to be surrounded by peculiar neighbors and occurrences. When the wife becomes mysteriously pregnant, paranoia over the safety of her unborn child begins controlling her life.

15. "Absentia" - A woman and her sister begin to link a mysterious tunnel to a series of disappearances, including that of her own husband.
