Latina singer and actress Greeicy and her romantic partner Mike Bahía spoke for the first time about the arrest of her father, Luis Alberto Rendón, who is under house arrest accused of kidnapping and torture in a case related to an assault on the couple's farm in 2023.
In a public message posted on her Instagram account and accompanied by a video in which she shows her parents and illustrates her relationship with them, Greeicy acknowledged that her heart is aching, although she holds "her head high, because our conscience has taught us that if it's clean, we rest well."
She also asserted that the "truth" would be revealed in time, and described her parents as people who raised her to "work hard, honestly, and never step on anyone's toes."
The announcement comes days after the Colombian courts imposed house arrest on Rendón while the trial proceeds.

In the comments section of her message, Mike Bahía, Greeicy's partner and father of her son Kai, wrote, "I admire you more every day, love of my life!"
According to the files released by the Colombian Prosecutor's Office, the events for which Rendón is accused occurred on May 8, 2023, on a farm located in Llanogrande, Rionegro, in the department of Antioquia, on the outskirts of Medellín.
The official version states that two workers were detained and assaulted by a group of hired men after allegedly stealing a safe containing cash and jewelry belonging to the family. The case was brought to court on charges of kidnapping and torture, which the detainee did not accept.
According to Colombian media, the stolen funds exceeded 1 billion pesos (US$260,000), and that local authorities participated in the rescue operation with the support of a security detail close to the area. So far, the courts are keeping Rendón at home for reasons of age and health, a measure that will remain in effect while the evidentiary phase is underway.
Neither Greeicy nor her partner, singer Mike Bahía, is legally linked to the case, according to radio and press reports.
