Who would have thought that despite being new to the royal clan, Meghan Markle would strike an unlikely friendship with her father-in-law. The bond shared by her and Prince Charles is incredibly unique. It is believed that his adoration for her goes beyond what he has for Prince William and Kate Middleton. In fact, he once called her “the daughter he never had.”

1. Dysfunctionality Becomes A Binding Factor

Generally, we bond with other people when we have something in common with them. And, it’s the same for Prince Charles and Meghan Markle. Markle’s parents divorced when she was very young, and she comes from a broken family. At the same time, even Prince Charles has also seen a fair share of dysfunctionality as his upbringing was not all hunky-dory. He has gone on record saying that his childhood was terrible. The duo also shares similar political views. Although the members of the royal family are forbidden to comment on political matters, it doesn’t stop them from forming opinions of their own. And, if you have been following the tabloids regularly, you will see that both Prince Charles and Meghan Markle have been condemned for their not-so-subtle political beliefs, which they both share. And, this only strengthens their bond.

3. Markle Gets Along With Camilla

Prince Harry and Prince Charles have always respectfully avoided their stepmother- Camilla. But, things are so much better now. Of course, they will probably never share a warm bond. However, Markle gets along well with Camilla. Maybe, it is because she doesn’t have any preconceived notion. In fact, it is believed that Camilla likes Markle a lot and this only further strengthens the bond between Prince Charles and Meghan.
