Brad Pitt once admitted that his marriage to his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston was a sham. Admitting that his life became dull after marrying Aniston, Pitt said he found solace in the arms of Angelina Jolie after getting to know her on the set of their film “Mr. And Mrs. Smith.”

In an old interview with Pitt, the actor opened up about his marriage to Aniston and how it made his life dull. During the interview, Pitt said that he had not been living an interesting life before he met Jolie.

“It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself,” he said.

According to Pitt, he always felt that something was always lacking in his marriage to Aniston, as if he wanted more than what the “Friends” star could offer. The actor revealed that amid all the attention given to their superficially happy relationship, he knew that their marriage was not really what it seemed.

“I think that my marriage had something to do with it,” he said. “Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t,” he added.

Pitt admitted that since his life was dull when he met Jolie, it became much easier for him to set his marriage to Aniston aside and be attracted to his co-star. The fact that he was not living an interesting life when the filming for “Mr. And Mrs. Smith” started made it easier for him to find solace in Jolie, who was quite an attractive woman.

At the time of the interview, Pitt was already married to and had kids with Jolie. Pitt said that during his marriage to Aniston, he resented that he did not have kids just because Aniston did not want to. When he married Jolie, he couldn’t help but compare his new wife to Aniston when it comes to being a mother.

“One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom,” he said. “She is such a great mom,” he added.
