Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship will reportedly change once Prince William becomes the king of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. But while Prince William will not be king until the end of Prince Charles’ reign, royal experts are already thinking about how his kingship may affect his relationship with his wife.

Prince William and Kate are two of the most admired members of the royal family today. Since they got married, they have performed their royal duties so well that many believe they’re already ripe enough to become king and queen.

Prince William may have been the second in line to the throne for most of his life, but that will change once his father, Prince Charles, inherits the throne. Now that he’s still a bit further down the line, he and Kate are still able to give their children the kind of upbringing they believe they deserve.

As parents, they have always been very hands-on with their children, and many admire them for that. But while Prince William and Kate have a bit more freedom to raise their family at this point in their lives, things will change by the time they rule as king and queen.

As Prince William and Kate assume their new roles in the monarchy in the future, their relationship will change significantly as they devote more of their time to the monarchy than their family. When Prince William and Kate become king and queen, work will become their top priority.

Unlike today, they will no longer be able to spend as much time with their children. It’s expected that they should become more focused on serving the public rather than each other and their family.

It remains to be seen if William and Kate will drift apart the way Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip seem to have drifted apart since they started to become busy with the monarchy. Royal experts believe, however, that considering how Prince William and Kate have been able to spend quality time and make memories with their children during their formative years, the foundation of their relationship proves to be much stronger than Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s.

By the time the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge rules, their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, will have already grown up and started lives of their own. This means that even if Prince William and Kate’s time to rule the monarchy comes, that won’t be much of a problem since they will have already developed a strong relationship as husband and wife and fortified their relationship with their children.
