Although Apple stuck to their guns and did not showcase any mobile devices at WWDC this year the rumor mill has not slowed down on a new iPhone in the works. In fact all the rumors point to Apple breaking tradition and skipping an S model phone and jumping right to a new numbered generation model.

Citi Research analyst Glen Yeung predicts the iPhone 6 will feature a larger screen that measures 4.8 inches, which would only make only a bit smaller than the Samsung Galaxy S4 which measures 5 inches. Also it is rumored that the bigger screen will be edge-to-edge on the new iPhone.

The rumors of a 5S model has yet to disappear although many blogs and website suggest that the release of a new iPhone S model phone in the fall would be a mistake for Apple especially since they would need to announce a next-gen iPhone 6 model early 2014.

Sidhtech's website called the 5S a filler until the next-gen iPhone arrived on the scene and said of the features, "if such a phone does in fact exist. It may be very much like the iPhone 5, except with internal upgrades. Therefore the iPhone 5S could disappoint some fans with design."

At this point with no information from WWDC or Apple the iPhone 5S or 6 is still as much as a mystery to us as it is to everyone. Until we get that confirmation we need the rumors are going to continue to spread like wildfire.
