Divorces are messy affairs, especially when they enter the settlement phase where the exes try to figure out the best way to divide their assets, child custody, support and visitation arrangements. Now a recent report claimed that Brad Pitt is a bit wary of what Jennifer Aniston might say and how it may affect his divorce settlement with Angelina Jolie.

Jennifer Aniston is currently promoting her upcoming Apple series “The Morning Show.” Based on a report by Heat, the “Friends” star might start talking about her ex-husband Pitt in the course of her promotion, which got the latter worried.

“Jen knows anything Brad-related is going to create a lot of drama and headlines,” Gossip Cop quoted a supposed source who told Heat. “She’s being paid $1 million per episode, and she and [co-star Reese Witherspoon] are executive producers, so she wants it to be a massive success. She knows that finally talking properly about Brad will help that happen.”

What got Pitt worried is that Aniston might say something that might affect the divorce settlement. “Brad is worried about Jen going off on how great things are between them, because he knows it’s going to infuriate Angelina,” the unnamed source explained. “Their divorce settlement is not finalized, and Brad is hesitant about upsetting Angie before they sort out their finances.”

While Aniston assured Pitt that “she’s not going to say anything too inflammatory” according to the source, the actor is still reportedly worried since Aniston also “wants the world to know how lovely it is to be back in Brad’s life.”

The source implied that Aniston might use it as an opportunity to get back at her former rival. “She’d also be lying if she said she didn’t want to rub Angelina’s nose in it all,” the tipster added.

But according to fact-checking site Gossip Cop, the entire story is a total work of fiction. Aniston’s rep confirmed that the actress is not planning to talk about Pitt at all. Meanwhile, Pitt’s camp also denied the claim that the actor is worried about anything that Aniston might say.

Since Aniston broke up with her second husband, Justin Theroux, both she and Pitt had to fend off rumors linking them together. When Pitt was spotted attending Aniston’s party on February, talks began circulating that the exes might be rekindling their romance.

There were also talks that Aniston spent a million dollars just to look good for Brad Pitt. However, both rumors were later proven to be false, and the exes confirmed that they are simply friends.
