Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's relationship status is back in the spotlight after rumors of their engagement surfaced in OK! magazine. The power couple has been the center of gossip and news since their first public appearance in 1999. With the recent split of Pitt and Angelina Jolie, fans hope that Pitt and Aniston would rekindle their relationship.

They had a lavish Malibu wedding in 2000 but eventually split up in 2005. Trouble during their married years started to brew, especially after Aniston released a seemingly hurtful statement in an interview.

The 50-year-old actress mentioned that she wasn’t sure if he was the love of her life, but he was definitely a “big love” in her life. When Pitt got together with his “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” co-star after their divorce, Aniston commented in an interview with Vanity Fair that Brad was “missing a sensitivity chip.”

“Brad is not mean-spirited; he would never intentionally try to rub something in my face,” she said. “In hindsight, I can see him going, ‘Oh — I can see that that was inconsiderate.’ But I know Brad. Brad would say, ‘That’s art!’ There’s a sensitivity chip that’s missing,” she added.

According to OK! magazine’s article, Pitt and Aniston allegedly reconnected at the “Friends” star’s 50th birthday party. The publication’s source said that the two were “ready to be husband and wife again” and that it was their “second chance at happiness.” The outlet even claimed that the “Fight Club” actor had proposed during a meal at Aniston’s Bel Air home before the 2019 Cannes Film Festival earlier this month.

“Jen was completely shocked, but of course she said yes,” alleged OK!’s source. “Jen and Brad have been through so much together. And even though their marriage didn’t work out the first time, they’ve never stopped loving each other. They know that it’s going to be different this time.”

Gossip Cop — a news outlet known for fact checking celebrity rumors — slammed the report, busting OK!’s false narrative. Apart from Aniston’s statement in an interview claiming that she has “zero time” to date and Pitt laughing off the rumors of the two seeing each other again, spokespeople from both parties have released statements about the rumors. The representatives for both stars denied the rumors and confirmed that they certainly aren’t engaged.
