On October 15, Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram and broke both the platform and the Guinness World Record by reaching 1 million followers in just five hours. Barely a month has passed since the "Friends" actor literally made history, she has done it yet again by getting 20 million followers! Of all the "Friends" cast members, she is the one with the highest number of followers which increases day by day.

Within 45 minutes of her joining the platform, Aniston had already amassed over a million followers - ultimately beating out Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who had over a million followers in a span of five hours and 45 minutes. Aniston's very first picture was of her alongside her "Friends" Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer.

While the number of likes the pictures got is a record in itself, her Internet debut literally broke the Internet! With the overwhelming number of fans scrambling to follow her, Aniston's Instagram account suffered some technical glitches and many weren't able to follow her despite multiple attempts.

When a fan had commented 'Why can't I follow her tho??!!', Jennifer had replied: "Sorry, I think I broke it."

Since then she has been sharing amusing posts, proving that her impersonation of the hilarious Rachel Green wasn’t just restricted to “Friends”, her post on November 18, being proof of the same. She thanked her fans for following her on Instagram and supporting her by posting a gif of herself dabbing away tears, stating that she is overjoyed with the news. She wrote: “20 million followers?! That’s a lot of thank you notes! THANK YOU, GUYS.”

Several friends and celebrities commented on Aniston's massive following, some of which include Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron, and Reese Witherspoon. While American screenwriter Lena Waithe, jokingly called her “Overachiever”, head of Creative at Bumble, Erin Foster playfully expressed her surprise and shock: “WTF you’ve only been here a couple of weeks, I’ve been working this scene for 4 yrs!!”.
