Medical conspiracy theories have become really popular when the coronavirus pandemic ravages countries around the world. These speculations have been shared on social media so they easily reached many people.

Now, there is a movie called “Plandemic,” a 25-minute clip from a documentary, and it is controversial for the mere fact that it featured Dr. Judy Mikovits, a critic of Dr. Anthony Fauci and former researcher who divulged shocking information regarding pandemics. She said that the federal government is involved in a “plague of corruption” to boost financial gains from a potential vaccine for COVID-19 that threatens lives.

The documentary has been posted on YouTube but it was taken down this weed due to its delicate contents. The video-sharing platform stated that it was removed for violations in the site’s community guidelines.

Last week, YouTube said it expanded its fact-checking panels on contents as the company reaffirms the importance of delivering accurate information during fast-moving events such as the coronavirus pandemic. The company added that it is aiming to provide relevant and authoritative context for the users and lessen the dissemination of harmful or misleading information.

“Misinformation that comes up quickly as part of a fast-moving news cycle, where unfounded claims and uncertainty about facts are common. (For example, a false report that COVID-19 is a bio-weapon.),” part of the statement reads. “Our fact check information panels provide fresh context in these situations by highlighting relevant, third-party fact-checked articles above search results for relevant queries so that our viewers can make their own informed decision about claims made in the news.”

At any rate, in the documentary video, Mikovits who is being called an anti-vaxxer told Mikki Willis, the filmmaker who is behind the controversial “Plandemic” documentary, that she was imprisoned and issued a gag order because her superiors want her to be quiet about her discoveries like the fact that a retrovirus called xenotropic murine leukemia virus (XMRV) could be the cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). In her 2009 published research paper, she suggested that the fatal virus is being delivered through vaccines.

But according to ABC News, she was jailed for stealing data and equipment in her lab at Whittemore Peterson Institute. In 2011, after she was fired at WPI, she turned herself in on charges of stealing computer equipment and data that are properties of the institute.

“Plandemic” also criticized White House advisor and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Dr. Anthony Fauci because Mikovits claimed that the NIH director threatened to have her arrested if ever she comes to any National Institutes of Health property to join Dr. Frank Ruscetti in a study that is trying to validate her claims. In response, Dr. Fauci said that he has no idea of what Mikovits is talking about.
