Kardashian Baby Name: Kanye West Reportedly Wants To Name Baby 'North West;' 5 Other Bizarre Baby Names

Kim Kardashian is only weeks away from giving birth to her and rapper Kanye West's child. The couple would not disclose too many details while at Paris Fashion Week, such as whether the pair would continue with the Kardashians' "K"-name tradition.

West reported that he was hoping to name their daughter North, which would produce the full name North West. This is of course not the first time celebrities have chosen, or in this case mulled the idea, of peculiar baby names.

Actor Robert Downey, Jr. and his wife Susan named their child Exton. Besides sharing its name with a Philadelphia suburb, there is seemingly no explanation behind that choice.

Actress Alicia Silverstone memorably named her son Bear Blu. The name is pretty cute and not that much of an odd choice after thinking about it. British outdoorsman Edward Grylls of course goes by "Bear," as does New York Giants tight end Bear Pascoe. Chef Jamie Oliver also named his fourth child Buddy Bear.

Actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes named their daughter Suri, which has a number of translations in Hebrew.

The "wholesome"-ness of the fruit led Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin to name their first child Apple. If West's wish comes true, "North West" will definitely be added to this list.
