Kate Middleton allegedly wants Rose Hanbury totally out of their lives. According to royal insiders, Kate ordered Prince William to phase out Hanbury as one of their closest confidantes. It can be recalled that Hanbury made headlines earlier this month after reports about her supposed secret affair with Prince William surfaced.

The rumored third party in Prince William and Kate’s marriage has been a friend of Kate for a long time. In fact, she has socialized in royal circles for much of her life, mingling with members of the royal family and attending royal events, including the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate eight years ago. She and her husband have been good friends with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, having gone on a few double dates with them since the royal wedding. Their sons are also friends with Kate’s eldest son, Prince George.

New reports reveal that Hanbury’s royal links extend much further back, as her grandmother, Lady Elizabeth Longman, was a bridesmaid to Queen Elizabeth when the queen married Prince Philip in 1947. Queen Elizabeth and Lady Elizabeth’s friendship reportedly lasted for decades, until the latter died in 2016.

Although Hanbury has been a confidante to Kate and Prince William since 2011, royal insiders have revealed that Kate is no longer letting Hanbury deal with their family. The two women have reportedly fallen out of favor with each other lately because of reports linking Hanbury to the Duke of Cambridge.

According to royal insiders, Kate no longer sees Hanbury as a friend but as a rural rival who needs to be phased out as one of their closest confidantes. Prince William reportedly tried to play as a peacemaker by convincing Kate to not let her emotions get the better of her, but there is no stopping Kate from cutting ties with Hanbury.

“It is well known that Kate and Rose have had a terrible falling out,” a royal insider claimed. “They used to be close but that is not the case anymore. William wants to play peacemaker so the two couples can remain friends, given they live so close to each other and share many mutual friends. But Kate has been clear that she doesn’t want to see them anymore and wants William to phase them out, despite their social status,” the source added.
