Kendall Jenner became the subject of ridicule when Gene Simmons, the bassist and co-lead singer of the rock band KISS, uploaded a photo of her on his Twitter account on Aug. 21. The problem is that the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star was wearing a vintage KISS shirt, and fans were not pleased.

Apparently, Simmons uploaded Jenner’s photo as he seemed to be proud that the young model has his band’s name on her shirt. He commented with “I Love You” and face with shade emoticons, perhaps finding it cool that the TV reality star was wearing a shirt with his band’s name.

However, fans have a different opinion. According to some commenters, the KUWTK star was wearing a KISS shirt only because she thinks it looked cute but is totally clueless about who the band is.

“She has no idea what she’s wearing,” J Bleeks wrote. “She just thought it looked ‘cute’ cause it says kiss.”

Other comments included someone saying that Jenner probably doesn't even know who Gene Simmons is, while another one told the rock legend to ask Kris Jenner’s daughter to name one KISS song without using Google. He said it will be impressive if the model could really name one.

Fans also urged Simmons not to advertise Jenner’s shirts that feature his band’s name as they’re actually a rip-off. A fan named Sonya also called out the musician, trying to make him realize that Jenner wore the KISS shirt not because she’s a fan.

“You’re delusional if you think she’s ever listened to a Kiss song,” she said. “She’s wearing that cause it’s cool to wear vintage rock t-shirts.”

This is not the first time that Jenner was criticized for wearing a rock band’s shirt. In 2017, she and her sister Kylie decided to superimpose their faces and initials on various iconic band T-shirts and tried to sell them for $125, as per Fashionista.

This infuriated the fans of rock bands whose logos were altered to feature the Jenner sisters’ faces. With the backlash, they decided to pull out the shirts from the market. “Dark Side Of The Moon did not become one of the best albums of all time for a Jenner to slapped her face on a t-shirt with it & charge $125,” a fan tweeted.
